He also played a tour as a member of the Allman Brothers this past Fall. He is a 3 time Blues Music Award (W.C. Handy) nominee for "Piano Player of the Year" (2008-2010). Bruce Katz has 6 CDs out as a leader and has appeared on over 70 albums by artists such as Ronnie Earl, Duke Robillard, Joe Louis Walker, Debbie Davies, Bryan Lee, among many others. His newest release, "Live! At the Firefly" received very active airplay on Sirius/XM radio as well as reaching #11 on the National Living Blues Radio Chart. He is equally known in both the "jam band" world as well as the blues world. In fact, Jambands.com/Relix magazine just did a feature article about Bruce last month.
