  Even the President Gets the Blues..

The program will feature Keb’ Mo, Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, B.B. King, Gary Clark, Jr., Trombone Shorty, Buddy Guy, Shemekia Copeland, Warren Haynes, Susan Tedeschi & Derek Trucks with Booker T. Jones running the band. The show will be taped, and will air on Feb 27th on PBS’s special “In Performance at the White House: Red White, and Blues” as part of the Emmy nominated “In The White House” series. "This concert at the WHITE HOUSE celebrates the musical contributions that the Blues have made to our culture," CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING Pres./CEO PATRICIA HARRISON said. "Through public media, all Americans are able to explore and experience this unique part of our country’s heritage."

In addition to the evening concert, the afternoon of the concert taping the WHITE HOUSE will host "At the Crossroads: A History of the Blues in AMERICA," an educational workshop for middle and high school students from across the country.
